Q: Is it possible to have an abortion at your hospital?

A: We don't perform such procedure at BSH
Q: I would like to ask about the cost of arm lift, tummy tuck liposuction of the buttocks & thighs operations. How long will I be admitted to the hospital for? 

A: I perform all these surgeries. The costs will depend on which surgeries can be combined. It's preferable to come over (a consultation costs BD 20) so that I can assess and tell you if indeed you require those surgeries or some other options.

Q: I have been married for the past 8 years without getting pregnant. My tests are normal. I think the problem is from my husband as he refuses to under go any tests. Do you think we need IVF treatment? Is Artificial Insemination the same as IVF?

A: I understood that you are having an infertility problem. Mostly it might be from your husband. IVF is different from IUI. I would like to see you both at BSH. and at that stage we can quickly pin point the problem.

Q: I am a 30 yrs old male. My problem is that I have excess fat on both of my breasts and they look bigger than the usual. I also have a small gland on my right breast which causes me pain and irritation. I am loosing my confidence and self esteem because of my condition. What is the solution?

A: You have a condition called gynecomastia. As the gland is painful, surgery should include liposuction for the fat on the breasts with gland removal. I have many such patients who have benefited immensely from surgery. With regards to the cost, it would be around BD 800. This includes surgery under general anesthesia with 1 day's stay.
